Nathan Fillion is no stranger to space travel, thanks to his starring roles in the short-lived series "Firefly" and its film spin-off, "Serenity." Could a trip to join the "Guardians of the Galaxy" be next?
Fillion played it coy when asked about the possibility of a cameo in director James Gunn's upcoming Marvel flick, though his non-committal reply certainly makes it seem likely that fans will get a flitting Fillion "Guardians" appearance. Asked during a recent convention panel about whether he wanted a part in the film, Fillion had this to say:
"Maybe" certainly isn't "definitely," though we can't help but think that that response was heavy on the implication that a "Guardians" cameo is in the cards for the actor. Plus, Fillion has already worked with Gunn on the big screen, starring in "Slither" and "Super," so it makes sense that he'd collaborate with the director once again.Wanting to get a part ... or maybe did. I'm just saying maybe. Maybe you'll be surprised. Maybe. Check the credits.
Whether Fillion appears in "Guardians" or not, we're still excited for the rag-tag superheroes' tale. We just think it would be even better with a cameo from Captain Hammer.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" hits theaters August 1.
