'Charlie Countryman' Posters Debut: Shia LaBeouf Dangles For Love

Shia LaBeouf's passion project, previously known as "The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman," has now shortened its title to simply "Charlie Countryman," and has also released two new posters. We're still not sure if LaBeouf's eponymous character does or doesn't die (or whether it's actually necessary), but hey, we're intrigued.

The flashy romance from TV commercial director Fredrik Bond follows LeBeouf's Charlie, an American who visits Bucharest, Romania, after his dead mother's spirit (Melissa Leo) advises him to. When he arrives he meets and falls for a cellist named Gabi (Evan Rachel Wood). But when her drug dealer husband Nigel (Mads Mikkelsen) and his mobster buddy Darko (Til Schweiger) get in the way, Charlie has to risk his life for love.

"Charlie Countryman," which premiered earlier this year at Sundance, may not have a full trailer yet, but from the exclusive new posters it looks pretty eye-catching. The handmade feel of the posters give the film an artsy French New Wave look that evoke the lust and danger reminiscent of Godard. Let's hope the film is as gorgeous as these posters.

Also starring Rupert Grint and Vincent D'Onofrio, "Charlie Countryman" hits theaters and On Demand on November 15. Check out the posters below.
