"The Bling Ring"
What's It About? Based on the real-life Bling Ring crew, Sofia Coppola's film tells the story of the Los Angeles teens whose claim to infamy was robbing the homes of celebrities. The teens who used the internet to track the whereabouts of rich celebs are portrayed by Emma Watson, Katie Chang, Taissa Farmiga, Israel Broussard, and Claire Julien.

Why We're IN: Coppola's approach to the tabloid-heavy story is one of the most compelling aspects of "The Bling Ring"," as she neither praises the characters, criticizes, or satirizes them. We get to watch the teens from an honest perspective and arrive at our own deduction of how technology and youth obsession with fame impact contemporary culture. "The Bling Ring" was also one of Moviefone's Best Movies of 2013 (So Far).

"Autumn Sonata" (Criterion Collection)
What's It About?
Ingmar Bergman's 1978 "Autumn Sonata" marks his first and only collaboration with actress Ingrid Bergman in this story about a troubled relationship between a mother and a daughter. Bergman plays Charlotte, a concert pianist visiting her daughter Eva (Liv Ullman) for the first time in seven years.
Why We're In: In her last film role, which was also nominated for an Oscar, Ingrid Bergam gives an unforgettable performance. Although an uncomfortable and difficult film, as many of the Swedish filmmakers' are, "Autumn Sonata" is a must-see drama that will consume you from beginning to end.

"Behind the Candelabra"
What's It About?
Steven Soderbergh's HBO film tells the story of the secret five year love affair between the famous pianist Liberace (Michael Douglas) and the much younger Scott Thorson (Matt Damon). With compelling and intimate performances from both leads, "Behind the Candelabra" is an unforgettable biopic that recounts a fantastic story with both humor and honesty.

"Disconnect"
What's It About?
Henry Alex Rubin's ("Murderball") "Disconnect" explores the connective and destructive nature of the internet in this drama starring Jason Bateman, Alexander Skarsgard, Michael Nyqvist, Hope Davis, Paula Patton, and more. While "Disconnect" has its flaws, it's nonetheless an intensely gripping story of modern anxieties accompanied by a strong cast.

"The East"
What's It About?
Starring and co-written by Brit Marling ("After Earth"), "The East" follows a former FBI agent (Marling) who goes undercover for a private intelligence firm to infiltrate an anarchist group. Also starring Alexander Skarsgard and Ellen Page, "The East" has both a smart screenplay and interesting characters making it an enjoyable tense thriller.

"Scenic Route"
What's It About?
When two life-long friends are stranded in the middle of a desert after their truck breaks down, their underlying demons are unleashed on each other in brutal, violent ways. "Scenic Route," starring Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler, is somewhat predictable, but is still a suspenseful drama about survival.

"Somebody Up There Likes Me"
What's It About?
Bob Byington's ("Harmony and Me") "Somebody Up There Likes Me" stars both established actors and non-professional actors in this offbeat comedy about a man (Keith Poulson) and his best friend (Nick O watching his life pass by. Charming and cute, "Somebody Up There" is a feel-good comedy that anyone can enjoy.

"Thomas & Friends: King of the Railway - The Movie"
What's It About? In this children's adventure, Thomas and Friends embark on a journey that tests their bravery and introduces them to new friends. This fun filled quest is full of mystery and excitement that will be perfect for all young children.

What's It About?
From director Mark Forster ("Quantum of Solace"), "World War Z" stars Brad Pitt as U.N. employee Gerry Lane, who must help fight the zombie take-over across the world. While it may not be the best zombie or apocalypse film, "World War Z" is nonetheless full of energy and suspenseful jolts and will undoubtedly keep you entertained.

"The Atomic City"
What's It About?
Jerry Hopper's low-budget 1952 "The Atomic City" follows nuclear physicist Frank Addison (Gene Barry, "War of the Worlds") who is demanded to turn over the H-bomb formula when his son is kidnapped. "The Atomic City" is an engaging sci-fi movie that will please any fan of the genre.

"The Bride of Frankenstein"
What's It About?
James Whale's 1935 sequel picks up where his 1931 "Frankenstein" left off with Dr. Frankenstein (Colin Clive) deciding to make a bride for his Monster (Boris Karloff). A staple for every lover of the horror genre, "The Bride of Frankenstein" is one of the best from Whale and a all around enjoyably fun classic.

"Day of the Dead" (Collector's Edition)
What's It About?
The final installment of George A. Romero's zombie trilogy is set in Florida where the remaining humans take refuge in an underground missile silo. While "Day of the Dead" is darker and more pessimistic than the previous two, it's no less an achievement in classic horror that will still creep under your skin.

"Dracula: Prince of Darkness" (Collector's Edition)
What's It About?
Terence Fisher's 1966 sequel to his 1958 "Horror of Dracula" starring Christopher Lee follows a vacationing couple who stop at Dracula's castle. "Dracula: Prince of Darkness" is a solid vampire classic from Hammer Studios that is a must see for horror fans.

"Frankenstein"
What's It About?
The 1931 classic from James Whale starring Boris Karloff as the Monster is the ultimate film adaptation of Mary Shelly's novel. As one of the most memorable movie monsters of all time, Karloff's performance is a hard one to forget. "Frankenstein" is as beautifully chilling today as it was to audiences when it first came out.

"Slacker" (Criterion Collection)
What's It About?
Written and directed by Richard Linklater, 1991's "Slacker" presents a series of vignettes of the misfits and outcasts of Austin, Texas. A perennial film of the American indie cannon, "Slacker" is a unique and funny classic that perfectly captured the nuances of a generation.

"The Wolf Man"
What's It About?
1941's "The Wolf Man" tells the tale of a man who undergoes a transformation when he is attacked by a gypsy wolf. Starring Claude Rains and Lon Chaney Jr. is memorable performances, this George Waggner film is a horror staple that is one of the most entertaining monster movies from Universal.
