Shailene Woodley's hair is now spectacularly short!
The "Spectacular Now" star took to Twitter on August 16 to debut her new look. The cropped, slightly lighter 'do represents Woodley's first step toward becoming Hazel, her cancer-stricken teenage character in the upcoming film adaptation of John Green's YA novel "The Fault in Our Stars."

In a chat with Moviefone at Comic-Con 2013, where Woodley was promoting her sci-fi flick "Divergent," the actress gushed about "The Fault in Our Stars," slated for release sometime next year. "I can tell you that it is one of the best screenplays I have ever read," she teased. "I chased this movie for a good year to a year and half; I'm so passionate about it."hair nubbins #itgrowsback #hairforhazel pic.twitter.com/KKn3qQZ7jX

Woodley donated her hair to Children With Hair Loss, an organization that provides wigs to kids who've lost their hair due to various medical conditions.
Filming for "The Fault in Our Stars" is expected to begin later this month in Pittsburgh. Woodley's "Divergent," another YA adaptation (she's the reigning queen of 'em), hits theaters March 21, 2014.
