According to Deadline, Sony has hired writers - "Oculus" co-writer/director Mike Flanagan and partner Jeff Howard - to pen a new adaptation of Lois Duncan's thriller. The studio hopes to have the movie ready by 2016.
For you wee babes out there, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" is the tale of four teens who accidentally hit and kill a pedestrian while driving. A year later, they receive the ominous titular note, and the foursome are soon hunted by a mysterious, raincoat-wearing avenger.
