"Jodorowsky's Dune"
What's It About? Cult filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky's vision for a "Dune" movie was beyond remarkable; it was truly epic. Pink Floyd, H. R. Giger, and Mick Jagger were just a few of the names attached to the film - until it imploded. This is a documentary about a sci-fi film that was ahead of its time and the visionary behind it.
Why We're IN: Tons of interviews, behind-the-scenes details, storyboards, and more make this a must-see for art house, midnight movie, and film history fiends.
Moviefone's Top Blu-ray of the Week
"Point Blank"
What's It About? Lee Marvin and Angie Dickinson star in this cool crime drama about a thief who's out for revenge on the dude who double-crossed him. Mel Gibson's "Payback" was based on the same novel, "The Hunter" by Donald E. Westlake, but that shouldn't deter you.
Why We're IN: Commentary from director John Boorman and Steven Soderbergh is icing on the Blu-ray case for this release.
New on DVD and Blu-ray
"Bad Words"
What's It About? Jason Bateman directed and stars in this movie about a jerky fellow named Guy Trilby who's determined to finally win the national spelling bee. Rohan Chand co-stars as 10-year-old Chaitanya, Guy's main competition, and Kathryn Hahn plays a reporter investigating the whole sketchy situation.
IN or OUT: "Bad Words" got decidedly mixed reviews, so it depends on how funny you find the possibilities of Bateman as a total jerk who talks (racist and weird) smack to kids.
"Bad Grandpa .5"
What's It About? If you didn't get enough of Johnny Knoxville in prosthetic old-man makeup, this release cranks the hijinks up to eleven. It features lots of bits that were edited out of the theatrical release.
IN or OUT: If you're into the "Jackass" cast of characters and their painful pranks, well, this one's for you.

"Le Week-End"
What's It About? Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan play a married couple who head to Paris for a vacation that will hopefully transform it, for good or for ill.
IN or OUT: Critics dug this poignant but somewhat funny portrait of a couple hashing it out over croissants. Fans of Linklater's "Before" trilogy will want to take a look.
"Nymphomaniac Volume I" and "Nymphomaniac Volume II"
What's It About? It's a sprawling, two-part drama from Lars von Trier about the sexual life of a woman named Joe. Charlotte Gainsbourg plays Joe as an adult in this explicit drama. Shia LaBeouf, Stellan Skarsgard, Uma Thurman, Christian Slater, and Sophie Kennedy Clark co-star.
IN or OUT: Critics can't really decide if it's controversial or boring. Your mileage may vary, but it's definitely for adults, and not necessarily in a sexy way. The tagline is "Forget About Love," so it's no walk in the park.
"The Raid 2"
What's It About? Let's be honest. You're not here for the plot; you're here for Gareth Evans' wall-to-wall action. Hello, there's a character called Hammer Girl.
IN or OUT: Was "The Raid" cool but a little tame for your taste? Step right up for this crowd-pleasing, bone-crunching fight fest. Unless you've got a weak tummy.

"Stage Fright"
What's It About? Horror and show tunes collide at a summer theater camp run by Meatloaf. Yes, really. That Meatloaf.
IN or OUT: Critics were not amused. If you like your gore with a side of song, check out "Sweeney Todd" instead.
New on Blu-ray
"Lake Placid" (Collector's Edition)
What's It About? A crocodile with a taste for human flesh terrorizes a small lakefront town.
IN or OUT: Depends on how you feel about horror comedies and/or Betty White playing a foul-mouthed local.
"Radio Days" (Limited Edition)
What's It About? Woody Allen narrates this coming-of-age movie about a youngster named Joe (played by Seth Green - yes, that Seth Green) who grew up in Queens during World War II. The supporting cast includes Mia Farrow, Dianne Wiest, Danny Aiello, and Julie Kavner
IN or OUT: There aren't any extras on this release, but if you're a diehard Allen fan, you'll probably wanna add this to your collection.
"Southern Comfort"
What's It About? A group of Louisiana National Guardsmen go rogue on a group of Cajun people in this metaphor for the Vietnam War. Keith Carradine and Powers Boothe lead the fray in this dark actioner from Walter Hill ("The Warriors," "48 Hrs.").
IN or OUT: There's an interesting short documentary about the film, but that's about it as far as extras go. It's still worth a look, though.
"The Time Machine" (1960)
What's It About? Rod Taylor stars as a time-traveling scientist who encounters some of the darkest human timelines, like World War I, a nuclear holocaust, and a creepy future full of sheeple.
IN or OUT: It's a must for fans of classic science fiction.
