Another familiar face is set to be "Taken" again: Famke Janssen will reprise her role for "Taken 3."
Deadline reports that the actress has just finalized a deal to appear in the third installment of the franchise alongside star Liam Neeson, as well as Maggie Grace, who plays the on-screen couple's daughter. Janssen had mostly been limited to a sideline character in the first two films, though as Neeson revealed in a recent interview, the plot of the latest chapter in the series will vary considerably from its predecessors -- which could mean a bigger payoff for Janssen.
In an interview with U.K. talk show host Jonathan Ross, Neeson confirmed that he would be back for "Taken 3," but added that there would be a twist to the franchise's familiar formula.
"They called me up and I said, 'I'll do it, but only as long as nobody gets taken,'" Neeson told the host.
The actor declined to elaborate on what that means for the series, but considering the success of the first two -- which pulled in over $600 million worldwide -- we can't imagine audiences will mind too much.
"Taken 3" begins production later this year.
