Riding high off his huge success "Ride Along," comedian Kevin Hart is set to recreate that magic alongside that film's director and producer, and he's bringing Jamie Foxx into the fold.
Hart and Foxx will co-star in "The Black Phantom," which according to Variety "follows a double-crossed mob hitman who enlists the help of the Black Phantom, the same African-American hitman who had been sent to kill him." It's unclear which actor will play which character, or whether "Phantom" will be a comedy or action flick, though judging by the talent involved, it seems safe to assume it will be a hybrid of the two genres.
Though a deal is still being worked out, Hart's "Ride Along" director Tim Story is pegged to direct "Phantom," while "Ride Along" producer Will Packer is set to co-produce alongside Will Gluck (who's working with Foxx on the "Annie" reboot). Considering the success of "Ride Along," which has earned over $140 million worldwide and has a sequel lined up, another collaboration between Hart, Story, and Packer seems like a no-brainer money maker.
