Curbed reports that the house, located on Freemont Street in Woodstock, Illinois, is being sold for $985,000, and features eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms over 5,185 square feet of space. It stood in for the fictional Cherry Street Inn bed and breakfast in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania in "Groundhog Day," and is only a few blocks away from historic Woodstock Square, where many of the movie's scenes were filmed.
According to Curbed, the property can be converted back into a single family home, or also be used as a B&B, its current operation. The sprawling Victorian-style house was built in 1985.
If this sale is sparking some "Groundhog Day"-style deja vu, that's because the house had been on the market as recently as 2008. Interested buyers should snap it up soon -- it last sold for a paltry $435,000; who knows how much the price will jump the next time it sells.
